Cannabis FAQs

What are the Colorado Recreational Marijuana Laws?

Marijuana, both recreational and medical, is legal in Colorado. However, it is not legal in every county. It’s important to check the local laws and ordinances to be sure you’re in compliance with the law. Since marijuana is still illegal federally, consuming cannabis on federal land (like national parks or forest land) is still illegal, as is using marijuana in public places. Consumers 21 and over may buy and possess up to an ounce of recreational marijuana. Home growers can have up to three plants flowering at once. It is still illegal to sell marijuana as an individual, and employers may test workers for marijuana at their own discretion. Colorado's state website is an excellent resource for Colorado recreational marijuana laws.

What is the Difference Between Sativa, Indica and Hybrids?

Indica and sativa are two different types of marijuana flowers that each provide a unique high. Indica strains are known for their relaxing, calming high while sativas offer an energizing and cerebral high. Hybrid strains blend the qualities of indica and sativa together to create a sensation that mixes specific parts of each strain.

What are Marijuana Concentrates?

Marijuana concentrates can come in many forms, but they are exactly as they sound, concentrated forms of marijuana. Some of them are incredibly potent while others have no THC and do not get the user high. Concentrates like shatter and wax are inhaled and produce a strong high, while CBD oil is used medicinally and gives non-psychoactive relief to patients. Our Budtenders at each of our locations can help you choose the right marijuana concentrate for you.

What are Marijuana Edibles?

Marijuana edibles are food products that allow the user to consume cannabis orally. Edibles are typically made with oils or other cannabis concentrates that are cooked directly into the product. There is a huge range of the types of edibles out there, we carry candies, pastries and beverages that all contain cannabis. Edibles can be measured out so the user knows exactly how much cannabis they are consuming, and the effects generally take longer to hit since edibles must be digested.

What is the Difference Between Recreational and Medical Marijuana?

Recreational marijuana is subject to more taxes than medical marijuana is, and users can only possess up to an ounce of recreational while medical patients may have up to two ounces. Anyone with a qualifying condition and recommendation from a physician can apply for a Medical Marijuana Card, regardless of age. Minors must have parental permission but can consume cannabis with a card.
